My educational background: I received extensive training in Ballroom and Latin dancing in Ukraine, England, Italy, Germany, and Slovenia. I earned the title of National Champion of Ukraine and going on to win the European International Championship. I’ve achieved finalist status in major international dance competitions. In 2004, I founded the Crystal Ballroom Dance Sport Club in Kharkiv, Ukraine, with my students becoming Ukrainian National champions and excelling in prestigious international events like Blackpool, International Championships, UK Open, and the Disney Cup. In the US, my students continue to excel in International Latin at top championships. Additionally, I served as an international judge for WDC. Currently, I teach International Latin, Standard, and Hip Hop dancing, holding a Master’s degree in Arts and Choreography from Kharkiv State University of Culture.
What I do outside of Star Academy: I’m a passionate traveler, exploring different cultures and dance styles worldwide, which often enriches my teaching with a global perspective. I actively participate in dance performances, competitions, and events, sharing my expertise and love for dance with wider audiences.
My teaching mantra: It’s all about uncovering and nurturing each child’s unique talent, creating a supportive environment where they can flourish. I firmly believe that teaching dance extends beyond mere steps; it’s about instilling confidence, discipline, and a deep passion for the art. I actively encourage self-expression and creativity, emphasizing that the journey of dance education is as important as the destination, which ultimately guides my students toward discovering their inner artist.
