Week 1: Earth – July 10th to 14th

Category:

Our Earth-themed week is packed with exciting activities designed to promote team-building, outdoor skills, and an appreciation for our natural world.

We begin the week with an introduction to the Earth theme, engaging in various games that allow us to connect with the environment and each other. Craft activities throughout the week include Bonsai cultivation, floristry, and even tree planting.

Outdoor activities vary from day to day, with a mix of traditional games such as American football, relay races, and volleyball, to unique activities like a treasure hunt with a map, Tree Top Adventures, and a hike along the brook path. We’ll also have plenty of opportunities to cool down with water games including handball and water tag.

We’ll explore the world from a new perspective with a globe and map activity, and learn practical survival skills like compass building and orientation in the wild. The week also includes more strategic activities, such as a survival skills session where we’ll learn about safety, navigation, food sourcing, and tent assembly.

Lunch times will provide a break to refuel and relax, before heading back out for more adventures. We’ll wrap up our activities each day with team-building games and storytelling, fostering a sense of community and shared experiences.

This week promises to be an engaging, educational, and fun introduction to our summer camp, with a focus on the Earth, its resources, and how we can enjoy and protect them.

The total cost encompasses both the weekly activity expenses and an administrative fee required for program maintenance and operations.
