Elementary School Teacher (SY26–27)

Job Summary:
Star Academy is seeking an Elementary School Teacher for the 2026–2027 school year to teach students in the elementary grades.

Job Types: Full-time

Responsibilities also include:

• Teach elementary school students in a nurturing, engaging, and academically rigorous learning environment.

• Plan and deliver instruction in core subjects, including English Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies.

• Create lesson plans that support student growth and align with curriculum standards and school expectations.

• Foster the academic, social, emotional, and behavioral development of students.

• Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of students and support individual growth.

• Assess student progress regularly and maintain accurate records for report cards, conferences, and school documentation.

• Establish and maintain a positive, organized, and supportive classroom environment.

• Communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress, classroom activities, and school expectations.

• Collaborate with colleagues, specialists, and administrators to support student success.

• Integrate technology and hands-on learning experiences into classroom instruction when appropriate.

• Encourage curiosity, creativity, critical thinking, and a lifelong love of learning.

• Supervise students during school activities, field trips, and other assigned duties.

• Participate in faculty meetings, professional development activities, and school events.

• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Skills and Competencies:

Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education, Education, or a related field.

• Experience teaching elementary-aged students in a classroom environment.

• Strong classroom management skills.

• Ability to create engaging and developmentally appropriate learning experiences.

• Excellent communication skills with students, parents, and colleagues.

• Strong organizational and time-management skills.

• Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic school environment.

• Commitment to supporting the academic and personal growth of every student.

Preferred:

• Experience in an independent school setting.

• Experience teaching multiple elementary grade levels.

• 3+ years of teaching experience.

• An advanced degree: Master’s, Ed.M., or Ed.D.
