Job Summary:
Star Academy is seeking a new Hebrew Teacher for the 2024-2025 school year.
Job Types: Part-time
Responsibilities also include:
- Teach Hebrew to middle and high school students.
- Drive student growth by preparing and delivering rigorous and engaging lesson plans that follow an advanced curriculum.
- Instruct students in a clear and concise way.
- Track and record student progress and keep records up to date for report cards and parent-teacher conferences.
- Communicate with parents regarding child’s performance.
- Provide additional support outside of the classroom for struggling students.
- Build strong relationships with your students and aid in the strengthening of their self-confidence and motivation while inspiring them to achieve high goals.
- Perform other duties and tasks as assigned.
Skills and Competencies:
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in education or a field related to the subject(s) the applicant intends to teach.
- Expertise teaching the subject(s) the applicant intends to teach.
- Experience teaching in a classroom environment.
- Passion for subject/content area.
- Ability to communicate effectively with students, colleagues and staff.
- Flexibility and high adaptation skills to work successfully in an unpredictable school setting.
- Organization and communication skills.
Preferred:
- 3+ years of teaching experience.
- An advanced degree: Master’s, Ph.D, or Ed.D.
- Experience teaching AP classes.
