From Classroom to Career: Real-World Learning at the Omni Boston Hotel

WELLESLEY, MA – At 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗿 𝗔𝗰𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗺𝘆, we place a strong emphasis on helping our students smoothly transition from high school to university life through a practical, hands-on approach that prepares them for real-world challenges.

In our 𝗨𝗽𝗽𝗲𝗿 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹, each semester, students choose from a variety of elective courses designed to build specialized skills—ranging from cooking classes to engineering workshops.

Recently, our Upper School students had the chance to attend an event organized by the 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗠𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗮𝗰𝗵𝘂𝘀𝗲𝘁𝘁𝘀 𝗔𝗺𝗵𝗲𝗿𝘀𝘁 to learn about their Hospitality and Tourism Management undergraduate program.

During the immersive experience held at the 𝗢𝗺𝗻𝗶 𝗕𝗼𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗻 𝗛𝗼𝘁𝗲𝗹 at the Seaport, our students met with program graduates now working in the hospitality industry and connected with top management at the hotel. University representatives shared invaluable insights into the opportunities and career prospects for graduates of this program.

The day concluded with a guided tour of the hotel, offering a firsthand look into real-world operations in hospitality.
