Week 4: Fire – July 31st to August 4th

Category:

The fourth week of our summer program will ignite participants’ curiosity and creativity with the theme of “FIRE”. This week will offer a mix of indoor and outdoor games, such as badminton, spike ball, volleyball, and water games, designed to keep the energy levels high. Indoors, we’ll engage in origami, storytelling, and the ever-popular game of ‘Two truths and a lie’.

Team building activities this week will include unraveling the ‘Mystery Box’, solving a Rubik’s cube, navigating a rope course, and cracking an escape room challenge. These exercises will foster teamwork, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills among the participants.

Craft activities will offer a hands-on exploration of the theme, with wood burning and candle making. We’ll also take time to craft bracelets and balloons, and even hold a baking class, where heat will transform our ingredients into delicious treats.

A significant highlight of the week will be a field trip to the American Heritage Museum. After watching a historical movie, we’ll embark on an outdoor excursion to see history come alive. Another enjoyable excursion will be a day at the Pond, engaging in water games and sports activities.

Outdoor activities will include making a fire and cooking outdoors, allowing participants to learn about fire safety and the role of fire in food preparation. We’ll also set up tents and hammocks, adding an element of outdoor survival skills to our program.

The week will culminate in an exciting rock concert, a fiery end to a week full of energy and learning. Our “FIRE” themed week promises to be an enlightening, fun, and educational journey into the world of fire, its properties, and its many uses, as part of our dynamic summer program.

The total cost encompasses both the weekly activity expenses and an administrative fee required for program maintenance and operations.
